Why
Companies in Iraq invoice in dinars and dollars, and the rate that matters is the market rate in Baghdad, not a
generic forex feed. This module writes the rate into Odoo once a day, so invoices, payments and reports use
the same figure your accountant would read off the market that day.
What it does
- Daily update by a scheduled action, plus an Update now button.
- Choose the rate: the Baghdad parallel market (buy, sell or the middle of the two) or the Central Bank of Iraq official rate.
- Both directions: companies in IQD get the USD rate; companies in USD that hold IQD get the IQD rate.
- Safe on bad days: if the market rate is out of date, the last rate is kept and the reason is shown in Settings.
- Business key for companies: using the rate in a company needs an IQWealth Business key from
iraqsm.com/developers (a commercial licence, 15,000 IQD a month).
Personal and evaluation use works without a key.
Setup
- Install the module (it depends on Accounting).
- Accounting → Configuration → Settings → Iraq Dollar Rate (IQWealth).
- Pick the rate type, paste your Business key, and press Update now.
About the data
Rates come from IQWealth (iraqsm.com), which records the Baghdad market rate several times a day and the
Central Bank of Iraq's published rate. Figures are daily readings, not live quotes. Details:
