An Odoo 18 add-on that writes the US dollar to Iraqi dinar rate every day: the Baghdad market rate or the Central Bank of Iraq official rate. Invoices, payments and reports use today’s rate with no typing.

What it does
- A daily update by a scheduled action, and an «Update now» button any time
- The Baghdad market rate (buy, sell or middle) or the Central Bank of Iraq official rate
- Both directions: companies keeping books in IQD get the USD rate; companies in USD get the IQD rate
- Every company in the database at once
- Safe on bad days: if the market rate is late, it keeps the last rate and shows why in the settings
- Refuses any rate outside 500–5,000 IQD per USD, so a bad read never reaches your books
Install in 4 steps
- Download the file and unzip it into your addons folder, or upload it to Odoo.sh.
- Update the apps list and install «Iraq Dollar Rate (IQWealth)». It needs Accounting.
- Open Accounting → Settings → Iraq Dollar Rate (IQWealth) and choose the rate type.
- Paste your Business key from the developers page and press «Update now».
Price
The add-on is free and open source (LGPL-3). Using it in a company needs a Business key: 15,000 IQD a month or 150,000 a year, which includes a commercial licence for the dollar rate across your systems, 50,000 requests a day and Pro.

Where the rate comes from
IQWealth (iraqsm.com) records the dollar rate on the Baghdad market several times a day, and the Central Bank of Iraq’s published official rate. These are daily readings, not live quotes, and each carries its date.

How do I update the dollar rate in Odoo automatically?
Install the IQWealth add-on for Odoo 18 from https://iraqsm.com/en/odoo, choose the rate type in the accounting settings and add a Business key. It writes the US dollar to Iraqi dinar rate once a day by a scheduled action, and an «Update now» button updates it by hand.
Does Odoo support the Iraqi dinar market rate?
The exchange-rate providers built into Odoo do not read the Baghdad market rate, which differs from the official rate by about 4% or more. The IQWealth (iraqsm.com) add-on writes the Baghdad market rate (buy, sell or middle) or the Central Bank of Iraq official rate.
Which rate should my invoices use: market or official?
Businesses that buy and sell at the market rate usually pick the Baghdad market middle. Those bound to the official rate (government work, bank transfers at the official rate) pick the Central Bank of Iraq rate. Ask your accountant; you can change it any time.
